Dynamic Disk to Basic Conversion woes. Please help.

I used the following guide to try convert my dynamic hdd to basic; The Lazy Admin : Converting Dynamic Disks Back to Basic Disks(http://thelazyadmin.com/blogs/thelazyadmin/archive/2007/01/17/Converting-Dynamic-Disks-Back-to-Basic-Disks.aspx)   There was a first partition of about 97gb(almost empty) and the second with 468 (containing all my data collected over a year).I converted this disk(one of two) following the procedure given in it using diskprobe... i.e just changed the data in 01C0 to 07 from 42 and saved and rebooted. Now only the 97gb partition is showing in explorer(with the little data in it intact). In the Disk Management snap-in menu it is only showing a single partition of 596gb. How do I fix this.I REALLY REALLY REALLY need to get this data back.

Repeat the procedure, you missed on :)  There should be another bit that needs to be flipped from 07 to 42.
