    local user profiles

    Hi,

Can shutting down the pc without logging off first corrupt a local user profile? (no roaming profiles configured hence local profile)

The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.

    Re: local user profiles

it is possible yes, and it's possible to corrupt windows as a whole - tho drastically less chance in XP / Vista than previous OS's

Ummm how do you shutdown without logging off Smile The first thing a shut down does is log the user off.
